MSQ (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “application”, “app”, or “the app”) takes your privacy seriously and is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, processed, used, shared, and protected when you use MSQ. Please read this policy carefully before using the app.
 

Information We Collect

User-Provided Audio

MSQ allows users to upload audio to use features such as Hum to Song, AI Vocals, Remix, Vocal Remover, and other AI-powered music tools.

MSQ uses Fal.ai, a third-party AI service, to process user-provided audio and generate the requested results. Audio is processed only as necessary to provide the requested feature.

User-Provided Text and Prompts

MSQ allows users to enter text prompts, lyrics, song ideas, themes, moods, genres, and other instructions to access AI-powered features.

MSQ uses Fal.ai, a third-party AI service, to process this information and generate content requested by the user.

This may include content submitted when using features such as:

• Song Generator

• Music Generator

• Lyrics Generator

Text prompts and instructions are processed only as necessary to generate and deliver the requested result.
 

Audio & Voice Data Handling

MSQ may process user-provided audio containing a user's voice. This section explains how such audio is handled.
 

Collection of Voice Data

MSQ may process voice recordings when users voluntarily record or upload audio to use supported AI features.

MSQ does not use voice recordings for speaker identification, identity verification, biometric authentication, voiceprint creation, or profiling.
 

Use of Audio & Voice

Audio and voice recordings are processed solely to provide AI-powered features explicitly requested by the user, such as Hum to Song, AI Vocals, Remix, or Vocal Remover.

MSQ does not use voice data for identification, tracking, advertising, biometric analysis, or unrelated profiling.
 

Sharing of Audio & Voice

To provide AI-powered music and audio features, user-provided audio may be securely transmitted to Fal.ai.

Audio is shared only for the purpose of performing the AI operation requested by the user.

MSQ does not share audio or voice recordings with third parties for biometric identification, advertising, tracking, or unrelated profiling.
 

Storage and Retention

MSQ does not create or retain biometric voiceprints or voice identification profiles.

Generated songs, music, lyrics, and generation history may be stored locally on the user's device.

Fal.ai may process information according to its own data handling and retention practices.
 

User Consent

Text prompts, lyrics, audio, voice recordings, and such content are processed when the user actively chooses to use an AI-powered feature.

Before the first use of features requiring third-party AI processing, users are presented with a Data & Privacy Disclosure explaining that their content will be transmitted to a third-party AI provider.

Processing begins only after the user selects Agree & Continue.

Users who select Decline will not be able to use features that require third-party AI processing.
 

Third-Party AI Processing

MSQ uses Fal.ai, a third-party AI service, to provide certain AI-powered music and audio functionality.

Depending on the feature used, Fal.ai may receive information necessary to process the user's request, including:

• Text prompts

• Lyrics

• Audio recordings

• Humming or melodies

• Uploaded music

• Vocal recordings

• Music generation instructions

• Other information necessary to generate the requested result

MSQ does not intentionally send user content to Fal.ai for biometric identification, speaker identification, advertising, identity verification, tracking, or unrelated profiling.

No biometric voiceprints or voice identification profiles are created by MSQ.

Fal.ai may process information according to its own privacy, security, and data retention practices.
 

Data Retention

MSQ may store certain information locally on the user's device to provide app functionality.

This may include:

• Generated songs & music

• Prompts associated with locally saved creations

• App preferences

• Saved settings

Users may remove locally stored information using available app functionality or by uninstalling MSQ.

Content transmitted to Fal.ai is subject to Fal.ai's applicable processing and retention practices.
 

AI Music and Audio Processing

User-provided prompts, lyrics, audio, melodies, vocals, and instructions may be securely transmitted to Fal.ai solely to perform the AI-powered action requested by the user.

Depending on the feature selected, processing may include:

• Generating songs from prompts

• Generating original music

• Generating lyrics

• Turning humming into music

• Creating beats

• Remixing music

• Removing or separating vocals

MSQ does not use user-provided content for advertising, tracking, identity verification, biometric profiling, or unrelated purposes.
 

Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect user-provided prompts, lyrics, audio, and generated content during transmission and processing.

However, no method of internet transmission, electronic processing, or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users should avoid uploading confidential, highly sensitive, or legally protected audio or content.
 

Analytics and Diagnostic Information

MSQ may use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect limited technical, usage, and diagnostic information.

This information may include:

• Device type

• Operating system version

• App version

• Feature usage

• Performance information

• Crash reports

• Diagnostic logs

This information is used to understand app usage and improve MSQ's functionality, stability, performance, and user experience.

Analytics and diagnostic information is not used by MSQ for voice identification or biometric profiling.
 

Purchases and Subscriptions

MSQ may offer optional Pro subscriptions or in-app purchases.

Payments made through the iOS app are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. MSQ does not directly collect or store users' payment card information.

Apple may provide limited transaction information, such as purchase confirmation, product information, and subscription status, so paid features can be activated and managed.
 

Third-Party Access

MSQ may use third-party services that operate under their own privacy policies, including:

• Fal.ai for AI-powered music generation and audio processing

• Google Analytics for Firebase

• Firebase Crashlytics

• Apple In-App Purchase

These services may process limited information necessary to provide their respective functionality.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect our rights, users, or services.

MSQ does not sell or rent user information.
 

Device Permissions

Microphone

Microphone access may be used when the user chooses to record humming, vocals, melodies, or other audio for supported features.

MSQ accesses the microphone only when required for a user-initiated feature and in accordance with permissions granted by the user.
 

Media Library / Files

MSQ may request access when users choose to import audio or save or export generated content.

Access is used only in accordance with permissions granted by the user.
 

Opt-Out Rights

Users can stop MSQ from processing information by discontinuing use of the app and uninstalling it through the standard uninstall process available on their device.

Users may also decline third-party AI processing through the Data & Privacy Disclosure where this option is provided.

Declining third-party AI processing will prevent access to features that require content to be transmitted to Fal.ai.
 

Children's Privacy

MSQ is not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete the information where applicable.

Parents or guardians who believe that a child has provided personal information may contact us.
 

Security of Data

We use reasonable physical, electronic, administrative, and procedural safeguards designed to protect information processed through MSQ.

Despite these measures, no method of transmission, processing, or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
 

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in MSQ's functionality, third-party services, legal requirements, or privacy practices.

Any changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
